My first experiments with animation began in 1996 when I purchased a Super 8 camera and set up a stop-motion studio in my bedroom. While my initial influences were 3D creators like Aardman Animations and the Quay brothers, my love of drawing saw me eventually find my place within the scope of 2D animation. During my studies in multimedia design at the Swinburne University of Technology I discovered digital techniques, while still leaning on my drawing skills. In 2005 I became and \u2018inbetweener\u2019 (drawing the frames between the keyframes) at Disney Toon Studios Australia and worked on the Brother Bear II and Cinderella III productions. After the studio closure in 2006, I became a freelancer, working with a variety of companies and clients. Examples include Stop the POPs <\/a>(written and directed by Amber Carvan) for the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Program, animating the monkey in the Monkey on a Wire<\/a> music video for Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson (Directed by Natasha Pincus) and working as creative director and animator in the music video I am Alive<\/a> for Rudely Interrupted. More recently, time-lapse drawings were created for Peer to Peer<\/a>, a commissioned film for Engage Media, directed by Andrew Garton as part of the ‘Tech Tales’ series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
